Gurgaon resident 'shocked' by electricity bill of Rs 75 crore

GURGAON: A Gurgaon resident, who was shocked to discover a bill of Rs 75 crore for his residence, has alleged that the error has still not been corrected by the electricity board.

Jitendra Kumar, a resident of Sector-4, Gurgaon said he was charged the stupendous amount for two months.

"I have got a two months bill of 75 crore. Last month I got a bill of Rs 9,000 and before that my bill was five thousand. I have normal equipments at my place. I was shocked when I received my bill. 75 crore ka toh mera makaan bhi nahi hai. Hum toh sadak pe ajayenge(Even my house is not worth 75 crores, I will come on the streets if I pay this bill)," Kumar told ANI.

Kumar has made many rounds of the electricity board office but says the issue has not been resolved yet.

"When I went to the electricity office, they said they will fix it. They asked me to wait outside the office, I waited for two hours in the office and then they said that I will receive the bill," he added.
